Earn money while giving full control to your users

Mim.zone is a unique service that lets developers offer apps and games to players at no cost. Instead of an upfront price tag, or in-game ads you’re rewarded based on how long your users let you harvest their CPU power.

Since there aren’t any ads they get to enjoy a seamless experience of your product and you get to reap the benefit of idle/spare processing power.

No worries we won’t scare your customers away. Customizable opt-in choices give full control to users by letting them decide either to mine for a few minutes or let the service run in the background when their device is plugged in.

Here’s how to use it

Wondering how to use mim.zone in your mobile app?
Here are some examples that we’ve found to work well in games:

Use case 1: Earn continuously

Enable a setting to allow players to mine continuously while using the game and earn a preset amount of in-game currency by the hour. This keeps players incentivised and coming back to your game.
A sample of the code that could be used for something like this is:

When the user clicks the button:
if IsServiceReady() { Start(Infinite, Medium, Battery, Any); }
When they exit the application or choose to stop:
Stop();

Use case 2: The intuitive offer

To avoid interrupting the player’s experience you can incorporate mining into the gameplay. You can freely adapt the placement of how you introduce rewards from mining in your game. For example, use the concept of mining in conjunction with your game’s theme to offer some rewards:

When the user clicks the button:
if IsServiceReady() { Start(10Minutes, High, Battery, Any); }

Use case 3: The selective show

Another strategy which we’ve seen work well for rewarded mining is to only show it at select times, after the user has played for a bit, and only offer some extra incentive to take it, without disrupting the main game experience. For example, after going through a few game levels, randomly offer an increased reward for turning on mining:
Because this seems unpredictable and offers a significant reward, most players will go for it.

A sample of the code that could be used for something like this is:

When the user clicks the button:
if IsServiceReady() { Start(Infinite, Medium, Battery, Any); }
When they end the level:
Stop();

Use case 4A: The reward

The first step is to introduce an in-game reward, so the player gets accustomed to using it to get some extra in-game currency.
As the user progresses into the game, the rewards get bigger.

Use case 4B: The scaled reward

Then, after a certain level, start offering the option to add mining to the reward to make it even bigger. As the game progresses, the mining reward scales up to become even bigger. This approach encourages players to keep mining even if they are doing well in the game, as the reward is always seen to be generous.
A sample of the code that could be used for something like this is:

When the user clicks the button:
if IsServiceReady() { Start(30Minutes, High, Battery, Any); }

Use case 5A: The energy exchange

Showing rewards early on in the game can also be an effective strategy. For example, offer a booster when a new level starts by either using up in-game currency or mining. Another way would be to offer continuation of the game on game over, by either spending in-game currency, or mining.
By introducing this from the first time a game is over, the player registers it as an integral mechanic of the game.

Use case 5B: Strategic capping

Now, after the player has accepted this as an integral mechanic of the game, they soon realise that the action is capped, i.e. it can only be done e.g. 3 times per session before the player is forced to spend premium currency or abandon the level. Limiting the mining per session still presents the player with the stark choice of monetising or facing a time blocker to progress once the ads have been exhausted.
A sample of the code that could be used for something like this is:

When the user clicks the button:
if IsServiceReady() { Start(10Minutes, Medium, Battery, Any); }
